Ubuntu Security Engineer

Canonical is hiring an Ubuntu Security Engineer to join its security team, monitoring, triaging and fixing vulnerabilities in open source packages and the Ubuntu ecosystem. The role involves source code auditing, coordinating disclosure with upstream developers, and building internal tooling, requiring strong Linux knowledge and proficiency in at least one of C, Python, Go, Rust, Java, Ruby, PHP or JavaScript/TypeScript. It is a fully remote, globally distributed position open to candidates from graduate to senior level, with international travel about twice a year.
