Engineering Manager

Canonical is hiring first-level Engineering Managers to lead distributed software teams in a fully remote, worldwide setup. The role combines hands-on coding with line management: coaching engineers, tracking team health, running disciplined engineering processes and representing the team to stakeholders. Requires a STEM/CS degree or equivalent path, strong English communication, proven experience leading and mentoring developers, and advanced expertise in a technical domain such as Python, Go, Rust, data infrastructure or web services.
