Ubuntu Software Engineer

Canonical is hiring software engineers to work across its Ubuntu Engineering organization, contributing to foundational systems, server, desktop or archive maintenance teams. The role involves designing and shipping software in Rust, Go, Python or Flutter, packaging and integrating open source software into Ubuntu repositories, debugging system-level issues and writing documentation. It requires 2-4 years of professional engineering experience, a STEM degree or equivalent path, strong English communication and willingness to travel twice a year for team events.
