Software Maintenance Engineer

Canonical is hiring a remote Software Maintenance Engineer to troubleshoot and fix complex issues across the open source stack, from the kernel to Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ceph and containerization. The role involves developing upstream bug fixes and backports, reviewing code and working closely with support and product teams. Requires a strong STEM background, Linux and open source experience, and proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, C or C++, plus willingness to travel up to four times a year.
